New manager Appointed

CLUB STATEMENT

Bewdley Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Mason as our new First Team Manager.
Scott, who lives locally, moves into the hot seat at Ribbesford Meadows for his first appointment in the men's senior game.

However, Mason has an impressive CV at Under 23/21 level having spent 9 years within the structure at Kidderminster Harriers and most recently for 2 years as Under 21 Manager and Head of Youth Development at Halesowen Town FC.

Scott is a UEFA B licenced coach and has been a fairly regular face at Bewdley this year, watching the likes of Dan Brookes, Ewan Edwards, Callum Gillies , Dexter Dudley Toole and others who he helped bring through at the Yeltz.

Club Spokesperson Adrian Guest said that Bewdley Town FC felt Scott was the "right fit" for how we see the football club operating going forward.
We (the committee) met with him and were really impressed with his confidence and belief that he is ready for the task in hand. We as a club have to get back to finding and nurturing good young local talent so the players actually build a bond with all that Bewdley Town FC stands for. With this in mind we really felt Scott to be the right man for the job and someone who can build on the solid foundations outgoing Manager Chris Cornes left us with.

Guest added, with Scott getting initial support from the likes of Phil Mullen, Darren Steadman and Wayne Payton who combined between them have a huge wealth of knowledge of the local non league scene, and having previously observed successful managers like John Eustace (Harriers) and Paul Smith (Halesowen) at work, we feel he is worthy of his chance to progress himself, and deliver another positive chapter in the history of the football club. Scott will form his back room team shortly and a further announcement will be made in due course.
