During a recent fixture at Ribbesford Meadows, Bewdley Town Football Club has been made aware of completely unacceptable language and insults with racist tones being used in the aftermath of a heated situation.
Whist regretfully, we feel in this instance it will be impossible for us to identify the perpetrator/s, the club feels it has to issue a clear and unequivocal statement that Bewdley Town FC will not accept this behaviour from ANY person within the football ground, and if we can clearly identify culprits we will take appropriate action. In this instance, we have notified the FA so that the incident is on record.
We, the greater footballing community, have a duty to eradicate this from our game once and for all.
Football is a passionate game – but this is 2021 and we have been well educated not to behave this way.
The FA runs both RESPECT and BLM campaigns which must be embraced for the good of the game.
Whatever your allegiance – please respect each other, no matter how high emotions run in the moment – RESPECT RESPECT RESPECT
