NEW MANAGER

After an extensive search and a number of interviews Bewdley Town FC are pleased to announce Andy Shaw as our new First Team Manager.

With a very exact remit to blood local Wyre Forest players , it was felt Andy's extensive knowledge of the local grassroots  scene would see him best placed to recruit the cream of this talent pool and give them a chance to grow and perform on a higher stage.

The club is also delighted to be handing the managers role to someone who is Bewdley born and bred and who went through all the local schools for his education.

Although this is a first foray into management at this level for Shaw,  he has plenty of experience managing successful Sunday sides, and was actually at Ribbesford Meadows for a short while as part of the coaching team during the Cornes/Rowe era.  A club spokesman  said that the selection process had been very tough as there were other outstanding candidates in the running , but for the route the club has chosen to take  , Andy was the right man for the job and the Committee would give him all the support he needed in the weeks ahead as he forms a back room team and builds a squad of players ready for the new campaign.
